Shiva Trilogy
Shiva Trilogy by Amish Tripathi is a mythological fiction series based on Indian mythology and folklores. It perfectly blends mythology, philosophy, and facts. It is a retelling of Lord Shiva's story. It follows the story of Shiva, from a tribe leader from Kailash Mountain, to the saviour of most successful civilization of the world, Meluha. In Meluha the destroyer of evil is given the title Mahadev. And the one who sets up the good is called Vishnu.

Immortals of Meluha | Book I
As this it the first book of the series it has set that world and make you feel like 1900 BCE. Immortals of Meluha, starts with the introduction of Shiva, the tribe leader of Gunas. Nandi, one of the officers of Meluha, has arrived on Mount Kailash with an offer to Gunas to come to Meluha and start living there instead of Kailash. Shiva reaches Meluha and finds that the natives, Suryavanshis are on brink of war with Chandravanshis of Swadeep who had allied with evil Nagas.

The Characters and Story build-up
The first book is basically introduction to the world of Shiva Trilogy. Some of the main characters are introduced and the story is set. The characters are strong, and the story flows very easily. Although at some places story becomes predictable but still you feel the thrill. The ending is especially very strong and emotional.

Rating: 4.5/5

Secret of Nagas | Book II
The first book ends with Shiva, realising that the Chnadravanshis are not the bad guys and they too have the legend of Neelkanth. In this installment, Shiva travels to Branga and ultimately to Panchvati.

Characters and story build-up
The story in this book is lagged somewhere or the other but the thrill is increased. The reactions and action at some places is cliché. The ending is awesome and is probably the best ending of Shiva Trilogy.

Rating:4.1/5

The Oath of the Vayuputras
As it is the last book of the installment, it has all the burden to give us a perfect ending for mind-blowing and gripping tale. And it ticks all the blocks for a perfect ending this kind of story needed. Many of the secrets are revealed. Shiva comes to know his true identity and the evil is revealed.

The Characters and the Story build-up
There are some new characters introduced and they are certainly well build with layers and you don't feel that anyone is evil. The twist and turns are well placed and you get a perfect sense of the ending.
